You’ll have to be fast though.
If you’re an existing Switch Online member with at least a year of paid membership and 50 hours of gameplay under your belt, you’re in with the best chance of getting a Nintendo Switch 2 first. The My Nintendo Store is offering first dibs on pre-orders to the biggest Nintendo fans, so be sure to register your interest to receive an invite when new stock arrives. Right now even Nintendo has sold out of the console, but with fresh supplies of the Nintendo Switch 2 arriving fairly regularly, it shouldn’t be long before a pre-order invite arrives.
Don’t worry if you’re not a Switch Online member, other retailers will likely refresh their stock of Switch 2 pre-orders ahead of the console’s release. Insider claims The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered could release on Switch 2
An insider has claimed The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered could release on the Nintendo Switch 2. Oblivion first released back in 2006 and is a beloved action role-playing game that's considered by many to be the very best in the popular The Elder Scrolls series.
Bethesda, the studio behind The Elder Scrolls games, shadow dropped a remaster of it yesterday (Tuesday, 22 April) which is already going down very well with gamers online. It’s available on Xbox, PC and PS5 and an insider claims there is “work” on the game releasing on the Switch 2.
In a translated post, eXtas1stv said: “Oblivion Remastered is coming to Nintendo Switch 2 and I know there is active work on it.” This has not been officially confirmed by Nintendo or Bethesda at the time of writing.

It seems Amazon keeps getting very limited stock becoming available through this morning. It’s worth keeping a tab open on the page and checking it.

Good morning and welcome back to our Nintendo Switch 2 UK preorders live blog, where we’re tracking all the retailers with preorders of the upcoming console. Amazon restocked its Mario Kart World bundle through yesterday evening, which seems to keep sporadically popping up with very limited stock, so that could be one to keep an eye on through today too.
However at present, no UK retailer has any stock available to preorder. As soon as Amazon, or any other retailer, has any stock available, you'll be the first to know with our dedicated live blog so stay tuned to be the first to get a Switch 2.

Amazon's Mario Kart bundle has sold out
If ever there was an example of how quickly this stock flies, that was it. The Mario Kart world bundle has sold out in the 10 minutes since I last updated this page. If you missed it last time around, the Switch 2 Camera is still available to preorder, though for some reason, all the product descriptions are in French. Bonne chance.

Switch 2 Pro controller fully charges in nearly half the time of its predecessor
According to Nintendo’s technical specifications, the Pro controller for the Switch 2 charges in nearly half the time of the Switch 1 version. Nintendo estimates the Switch 2 Pro controller takes around three-and-a-half hours to fully charge while the console is in sleep mode.
The Switch 1 Pro controller takes around six hours to fully charge in this mode, Nintendo estimates. Both have the same estimated battery life of 40 hours too.

Paul Rudd recreates famous Nintendo advert for Switch 2
Paul Rudd has recreated his famous Nintendo SNES advert but this time for the Switch 2. In 1991, the actor played a number of different games on the Super Nintendo Entertainment System at an abandoned drive-in movie theatre with people turning up to watch.
It was recently uploaded again to Nintendo of America’s YouTube page (after it went viral last year) and the channel has now shared a remake ahead of the Switch 2 launch focusing on the new console and playing games such as Mario Kart World with others. Joe Le Truglio is also in the new trailer.
