Carlo Ancelotti will become the next head coach of Brazil when he leaves Real Madrid at the end of the season.

The Italian will bid farewell to the Bernabeu ahead of the Club World Cup, with the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) detailing his official start date as May 26.

Ancelotti arrives as the first foreign manager in the history of the Selecao, having won almost everything there is to win in club football, including five Champions League titles.

Brazil have credited Diego Fernandes for facilitating negotiations with Ancelotti and Real Madrid on behalf of the CBF, allowing a deal to be concluded before the end of the current campaign.
